About Joey

Joey has been under the spell of music and the theatre since she was eight. She has a wealth of experience under her belt, amassing hundreds of hours on stage as well as behind the curtain and in instructor positions. She has been an instructor and  musical director for many classes and productions with TheatreWorks Centre for Performing Arts.

Joey is the founder of a youth service group called KATTALIST (kids acting together to assist lives in suffering times) in Courtenay who have been busy raising funds for projects for underprivileged and disaster struck people.

Joey spent eight years as a member of the St John Ambulance Brigade and  is a winner of the A-Channel Amazing Kids Award, The Power Pioneers Award for Service (2006), Violet Richardson Award and is a finalist in the Youth in Motion's prestigious national competition "Top 20 Under 20". She recently attended the Courage to Soar conference connected with this competition.

She has been a member of the acclaimed Cantiamo Chamber Ensemble, placed well in the Valley Idol Competition and is soon to be releasing her debut album with Highland Music Multimedia Company. Joey will be featured on the soon-to-be released Jewels of the Island II CD.
